Vasco Rossi (born in Zocca, 1952) is an Italian singer-songwriter and one of the most successful rockers of the last 25 years.
Rossi started his career in the late seventies although he failed to obtain large scale success until his 4th album “Siamo solo noi” in 1981.
Throughout his career, he has been criticized over his lifestyle and his songs’ lyrics. He has been also arrested a few times in charges of drug possession. His fans, though, kept growing making him to sell out big arenas and stadiums.
In 2004, his album “Buoni o cattivi” sells over a million copy, making it the biggest selling album of that year. As always, here too, Rossi mixes his irriverent and provocative style with moments of intense poetry. Among the 5 released singles, “Un senso” (“A meaning“) has been the most successful one, making it into the Top 5.
