Tiromancino is an Italian pop-rock group formed in Rome in 1989 by the singer-songwriter and director Federico Zampaglione, who can be regarded as the representative soul of a band who has often changed its line-up through the years.
Featuring a gentle acoustic/electronica sound with Zampaglione’s introspective lyrics, Tiromancino have released four albums in the 90′s and five in the last 12 years, plus a retrospective in 2005. The group’s breakthrough is undoubtedly  “La descrizione di un attimo”, their 5th work, which led to several awards, as well as the inclusion of the song “Due destini” in Ferzan Ozpetek’s famous movie “Le Fate Ignoranti” (released in the US as His Secret Life).
The group will get even more exposure in 2002 with the following album “In continuo movimento”, where folk blends with electronica, giving life to subtle psychedelic atmospheres.
Per me e’ importante is the first single from that album, and their biggest hit so far, reaching the top of the Italian Singles Chart and staying there for three weeks. Both the song and its videoclip have won the Tutto Award 2002 in their respective categories.
