After 19 years from his last entry to Sanremo in 1969, and after a long streak of hit songs and huge success both in movies and theatres, Massimo Ranieri makes a strong comeback in the music scene partecipating to Sanremo Music Festival, and he does it in style, with his “Perdere l’amore” (“Losing a love”) which won him the Festival that year.
Ranieri’s performance was excellent and helped to express the song’s main theme, a painful separation from his loved one seen from a man who doesn’t feel young anymore. The song will also reach #1 in the Italian pop singles chart for 5 consecutive weeks.
