Iva Zanicchi (born in Ligonchio, 1940) is a greatly popular Italian singer, TV host and politician. She is one of the few Italian female singers whose fame has crossed the national boundaries, selling millions of records of records in the world, from Europe to South America, as well as in Japan, USA and USSR. She has won three Sanremo Music Festival, no other female singer has done that. For 13 years, Zanicchi  hosted the popular game show Ok, il prezzo è giusto!, the Italian version of The Price is Right as the only female host in the history of the game show worldwide. In 2004 she entered politics, and is currently  a member of the European Parliament representing premier Berlusconi’s PDL party.
In 1970, she records “Un uomo senza tempo” (“A timeless man”) a touching and melanchonic music piece, where she shines as a top singer and performer. The lyrics are a heartfelt dedication to an old father, who despite his aging and a hard life behind, is still daydreaming and trying to keep being young at heart.
