Irene Grandi is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Florence in 1969. In the late 80′s, she started singing in several all-female bands in Tuscany’s clubs and pubs. She has crossed in her career many different music genres, such as pop, rock, soul, dance, blues and jazz. She has also been participated in duets, singing in english, german, spanish, hindi and even afrikaan.
But her biggest hit so far is “Bruci la citta’ ” (“Make the city burn”) which reached the #1 spot in the singles chart in the summer of ’07, staying there for three weeks. Video taken from a live concert in Lucca, summer 2007.
