Big and a somewhat unexpected comeback at 73 for Adriano Celentano with his latest single “Non ti accorgevi di me” (“You weren’t aware of  me”), on radio airplay and available for download on i-Tunes since October 21st. The song has been written and co-produced by Giuliano Sangiorgi, frontman of Negramaro.
Sangiorgi’s band brings its unmistakable rock sound to the song with their electric guitars and innovative arrangements which counterbalances Celentano’s enveloping and unique voice, resulting in a mix between present and past which may catch listeners off guard at first, but is nevertheless an interesting and intriguing musical event.
“Non ti accorgevi di me” is essentially a love song, a heartbreaking piece where Celentano is back to tell us about love in all of its facets, from the desire to be loved to the need of mutual love, trying to reach harmony, understanding each other throughly and completely.
This single is taken from the much awaited new album “Facciamo finta che sia vero”, released on Nov. 29th.
